Needs Renos

October 26, 2015

I've been in a few theatres and this is one of the most uncomfortable places I've ever watched a movie in. This theatre is in desperate need of updating and upgrading. When I pay my money to watch a movie at a theatre it isn't just for the movie it is for the comfort and the whole experience, the movie is there but the rest of it ISN'T.

Horrible seats

October 15, 2015

It can't be that expensive to put new foam in the seats!! I can't believe this dump is the only theatre in this beautiful Valley. I'm embarrassed to take people there!

Most uncomfortable seats ever

August 19, 2015

If the Rialto wasn't the only theatre in town, I probably wouldn't be going due to the seats. I have a bad back at the best of times, and I hobble out of there every time I go. I love going to movies for the whole experience of popcorn, watching a movie and having a date night with my wife. Please start some fund raising and purchase some more comfortable seats.

Terrible movie theatre

August 10, 2015

I was blaming myself for feeling so tortured by the terrible seating I thought it was me. Until I mentioned it and several people over the past few days agreed. We deserve better. And no I won't drive to nanaimo. I just won't go to the rialto until it is improved.

Waste of $$

July 26, 2015

Why won't the owners spend money on upgrades to the seats and theatre? Oh that's because they are not concerned at all about what the people that pay good money for their theater seats think.

The bad is set low

July 25, 2015

This is now the only theatre in the area and it seems no efforts are made to keep customers, it's dirty, seats are painful and there are often technical difficulties. I don't go to movies anymore.

Try to go elsewhere

July 10, 2015

Out of the 10 or so movies I've been to here, at least 4 have had the sound break or problems with the picture. You complain to the manager and get told you should have left at the start so I'd get a refund (not so easy on a family night out when the kids are desperate to see the movie - thanks) I won't go again, I'd prefer to go to Nanaimo in the future.

Wish I could rate it Negative stars

May 19, 2015

Far and away the very worst theater I've ever had the displeasure of being in. Nothing, I mean nothing about it is redeeming. The lack of attention to just about everything is alarming, until you realize it's the ONLY theater in town, so obviously the owner doesn't give a rat's a$$. I make the drive to Nanaimo these days, it's worth to spend the money on the extra gas, the two hours there and back to avoid this hell hole. The owner should be ashamed of themselves. I would LOVE to buy this place and give it the attention and care it deserves .

Seats chiropractors have nightmares about

May 19, 2015

This is a pretty average theater, but the seats make it a whole lot worse, and if you don't go on cheap Tuesday it's too expensive to be worthwhile. The seats are poorly designed flaps of fabric worthy of a thrift store that you could feel the popcorn grease through even if you wore 3 layers of garbage bags as pants. The screens and sound are decent though, but not enough to make it a nice theater.
