Perfect hometown theatre

August 30, 2016

This is a relaxed and inexpensive alternative to the busy, big theatres, and it has a good selection of movies. Nothing is perfect, but as a great little hometown theatre, it doesn't get much better than the Rialto.

Best Kept Secret

March 20, 2018

This is what movie theatres were like when I was growing up - free parking, personal service, and cozy, comfortable seating. South Surrey's Rialto and sister theatre the Caprice are wonderful alternatives to the behemoths in the GVRD.

Me and my friends go to movies here because it's close (we are seniors) friendly and the movies are wonderful.

Go for the Popcorn, Stay for the Movie

April 24, 2018

Seriously the best popcorn I've ever had at a theatre. The movies have the same plot as when shown elsewhere (obviously), but it's a cozy place to watch; we go whenever we have the chance. Retro and appreciated. But that popcorn...

So glad it's reopened!

September 19, 2015

We love going to this theatre, it shows new releases and is easy to get to, cheaper than the big theatres,, low stress and a throwback to simpler times.

I'm SO glad you're back!

January 24, 2015

The best decision I made today was to go to Starbucks beside the Rialto! I was devastated when it closed last year as I loved going to movies there, as I did the Clova. Now that I see the Rialto has reopened and it still has great movies, I'll be there tomorrow, and regularly thereafter! Thanks for the courage and labour of love in reopening this great community theatre!

Say it ain't so!

April 30, 2014

Apparently I'm too late to write a raving review of the Rialto. Have no idea of what is going on or if it is reversible, but this little community asset looks like it's going the way of the Clova. I hadn't heard anything and don't know if it's the result of digitalization, but it surely is sad. Sorry I didn't go more often.
