This movie was very powerful and left me speechless. It is a perfect depiction of the sacrifice Christ made for the world because of our sin. I believe this movie will impact this generation and the ones the come.

Powerful film. God Bless You Mel. This film helps me to better understand the price Jesus paid for my sins past present and future. As I watched the torture I kept thinking to myself stop, stop, please stop, all the time knowing that I every sin I have ever committed or will commit is one more lash. Thank you Lord Jesus. Please help me in my battle against sin in my life. This film strengthens my resolve.

Utter Crap. The script has little plot or characterization - just unrelenting brutality. It`s a snuff film for believers. On the other hand, if the events were true (which I doubt) it should only serve to shame all the self-described christians who have persecuted and vilified others for centuries.

When I saw the movie Titanic eveybody around me was crying, and when Celine Dione sang her song in the end we had a flood in the theater. I have to admit, I did not cry at all. But now this "movie" if you can say it is a movie, it went right under my skin. Tears actully ran down my face when I saw jesus walking down the path with the cross on is shoulders, and the jews were just spitting in his face. All thge hate you can see in the peoples faces, it must have been so painfull for jesus, I can not even imagine. It was a great film! I was totally speechless when I got out of the theater! Yes, there was a lot of torturing and blood in the movie, but I didn`t find any part of it disgusting, I thought Saving Private Ryan was a lot worse in that aspect. All those critics who compared this movie to pornography should slap themselves.

Evil lurking in the background was well done. Made me understand that Jesus was humman and had temptations like us and resisted them. He could have saved himself by telling the leaders what they wanted to hear. His disciples denonced him to save their skins and Jesus was martyred for his beliefs. Great film.

I heard it was extremely gory so I went prepared to shut my eyes throughout the whole thing. But little to my knowledge, I ended up watching it wide eyes, only blinking away lots of tears. Mel Gibson, you are truly amazing.. words can not express my gratitude for you doing such an excellent job! Thnk you so much Mel!

It didn`t have enough focus on Jesus raised from the dead and going back to His disciples. Could of shortened the torture by only 5 min and fit this important event within the film. Also, at the very end, it would of been nice to show Jesus rising to heaven.

Somebody had wrote earlier: "Jesus died and suffered for all of us" was not backed up by any story line at all, all we saw was a man being tortured beyond belief with no apparent reason why." Now, if you have read the Gospels, you would know that Jesus was crucfied for us. He died for our sins and for believers. I went to watch it on Friday, February 27, 04 and needless to say it was the most painful experience I`ve had to endure while watching a movie. It was so intense I actually felt like i was in the movie myself. It was very graphic, so very real it was almost surreal. The movie was awesome. So amazing. I don`t regret one bit having gone to watch it. At one point when the soldiers were whipping Jesus, I remember thinking and screaming silently when is this torture going to stop. An outstanding piece of work. The professional reviewers who panned The Passion obviously had personal problems with it. Artistically and technically there is little to find fault with this movie. It wasn`t as difficult to witness as I anticipated but I do appreciate being forewarned of the extreme violence. Despite the ferocity of the physical attacks on Jesus they don`t seem as unexpected as the attacks I have heard from liberal media critics on Mel. The only reason I can see for people wanting to destroy Mel and this Movie is the power of the message and the talent of the messenger. You go Mel.

Why is the PRESS trying to discourage us from seeing this movie? It`s a well made movie that touches our heart and soul. My friends and I walked out of there feeling the pain and suffering. Over coffee, we discussed the suffering in the world today. Something has to give! Why would people say this movie is too violent, when we have all around us psychotic shooters killing people randomly on the streets, kidnappers splitting up children bodies, and bombs that can wipe out the entire city of a million in a split-second? An Amazing movie....people who start all this talk about religion and all that are just too ignorant...this movie is about Love ...about understanding the simple, plain truth about Universe and God...Mel Gibson did an excellent job! Whatever faith you believe in, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE and SACRIFICE is the final message. I am not a christian, but would surely want people to watch this movie and remind themselves about the POWER of LOVE. This movie is a good reminder of this fact. The message is very well conveyed.

This is a wonderful re-enactment of a historical fact of the last 12 hours of Christ`s life. It brings to life the reality of the suffering and the sacrifice that Jesus has made on behalf of the human race. At his time in history we all certainly need the reminder. Good job Mr. Gibson.

An excellent film! I knew Jesus was cruxified, yet I never understood his pain or how much suffering he endured to save us. His pain,suffering and ability to forgive the ones inflicting it even as he took his last breath is what made people think. We see this when one of the other cruxified man says He prays for you. Wow! This made people think. Many people converted after his ressurection. If Jesus never died on the cross maybe not too many people would have believed.

Most of the violence is brought on by two crazed Romans which were not suppose to kill Jesus. Once they started whipping him, seems like they got off on it and couldn`t stop. They actually were enjoying inflicting pain onto Jesus. Some people are like this today, where they enjoy hitting and hitting. I don`t think society has changed very much. We still have crazed up people who get off on inflicting pain. Great movie.
