Destierros
Fleeing miserable living conditions, many South Americans risk a dangerous crossing of Mexico, hoping to settle in the United States. On foot, by car, or spending long cramped hours on freight trains, their journey to freedom has very little chance of success.
The director met with some of these uprooted people and followed them during their stay in migrant shelters — temporary havens where they can find a bed, food and shelter from the police who stalk them relentlessly.
