Super bad, worse than the little one in Iqaluit

February 15, 2016

I rarely go see a movie at this theater. When I do, I look online to see how long the movie is. If it's close to or over 2 hours long I absolutely do not attend as the seats are so bad with no leg room. That's right, I haven't seen the new Star Wars movie yet because of this damned theater.

The stuff stuck on the seat tasted funny

The best thing that could happen to this "theater" would be for it to burn down, and use the insurance money to build something passable as a house of movies.

Old and past its prime

January 27, 2016

I cannot believe this old theatre and the other old theatre in Whitehorse are still operational. They need to be bull dozed. Please build us a new movie theatre!

Lovely Popcorn

January 18, 2016

But that's about it. The employees handle cash and then manhandle the food they serve, a completely disgusting act that spreads germs. The theater is clearly never cleaned, and the whole building needs to be dumped in a vat of Lysol disinfectant.

Last movie I attended at a Whitehorse cinema was Lord of The Rings around 2001 and found the movie experience so poor compared with theaters in other centers that I have never returned. The Whitehorse theaters are an embarrassment to cinema entertainment in today's market.

Thank you Netflix

November 05, 2015

Stay home and wait for the Netflix version. Don't support Landmark until an upgrade is done to both Whitehorse theatres.

So gross

September 21, 2015

Literally so gross and disappointing, the floors are sticky, the seats are broken, small, hard and uncomfortable. And the bathrooms are a mess they're also disgusting. The decor of the theatre is not appealing, the outside is sketchy. The screen and speakers are not up to date at all the last time this theatre was upgraded must have been 1980 and they've kept the same seats, speakers, carpet, AND EVERYTHING. This theatre is 0/10. I will not be going back and I will tell my friends the same thing. It's a waste of money you'll have more fun waiting for the movie on DVD.

This place is the pitts

August 26, 2015

Sometimes seats break, other times they were clearly broken beforehand and unmarked, and as a result, I've fallen on the cement floors in a very painful way (we're talking bruised tailbone). I worry about mice and it's always disgusting. Also, you can't always hear the movie you're sitting in the theatre for if there's a movie playing in the theatre next to it, while that may not matter for movies like Magic Mike, sometimes it really impacts your impression of the film itself (who can rave about a monologue if you can't hear it!?) Whitehorse is a great place, but could definitely use upgrades to both theatres. They are both completely reprehensible, and hey, if you're going to charge the same price as they would in bigger, significantly better theatres, get it together Landmark Cinemas!
