Maina
In the aftermath of a bloody confrontation between the Innu tribe the Moon Wolves, and the Men from the Land of Ice, a.ka. the Inuit, Maïna, daughter of Grand Chief Mishtenapuu, finds herself on a mission that will change the course of her life and her people's history.
In order to fulfill a promise made to her friend Matsii as she lay on her deathbed, Maïna goes on a quest to find Nipki, Matsii's 11-year-old son who was captured by the Inuit. However, she's taken captive herself by Natak, the clan’s leader, and forced to travel with them to the Land of Ice.
Introduced as enemies, the two grow fond of each other and struggle to forge a relationship against the odds of different culture, customs and conspiracy in a world where the fight for survival is a daily challenge.
