Emily, a timid cloakroom attendant at a trendy bar, tries to return a man's cloak to a client who was the victim of an overdose the night before. She mistakenly gives it to David, the only son of a wealthy businessman. As a result of this misunderstanding, the young woman finds herself embroiled in a criminal conspiracy. Thomas, an aspiring journalist secretly in love with Emily, risks his life to try to help her.
