Blessed is the Match
Hannah Senesh was a young Jewish poet from Hungary who became a committed Zionist after facing discrimination during her high school days. After emigrating to Palestine, Hannah volunteered for a special unit in the British Army; parachuted into occupied Yugoslavia; and made her way back to Hungary.
Hannah was arrested shortly thereafter, was tortured and executed. Her body was later transferred to Israel and laid to rest next to the state's heroes. This film contains never before seen clips and photos from the time and interviews with people who knew her -- members of her family and well-known historians such as Martin Gilbert.
