Maybe movie theatres have run their course...

Went to a weekday morning show and it was not busy. Service and greeting was indifferent. Concession staff was more interested in discussing their social activities from the night before, rather than attending to their 8 customers. I ordered a bottle of water and paid .89 for real butter, which was a dribble and not worth paying extra for! (FYI: fill the container half full and apply butter, then fill and re-apply...not complicated! Theatre sound was too loud, and I endured the 20 minutes of commercials and coming attractions and did enjoy the movie. BUT, I have decided to wait for netflix or a dvd release in future.

Could use some improvement

As others have mentioned, the concessions area could use some better cleaning. There was a large line at the ticket counter and only one person working – maybe because it was a Monday night and they weren’t expecting many, but there were three people at the Customer Service counter inside!? We saw an IMAX 3D movie and the glasses were dirty – they gave us already used glasses not the ones that normally come in the plastic wrappers. Good thing we had some extra napkins to wipe them off. The opening trailers and commercials were extremely loud to the point of being uncomfortable. I’ve been to this theatre before and at quiet moments heard the movie playing from the theatre next door. For the price you pay now to go to the theatre, a better experience would go a long way in brining me back on a more regular basis.

Great experience

I live a two minute drive away from cineplex but I refuse to go there. I drive 20 minutes to whitby because I prefer better movie show times. Better seating. People that pour my pop and not a giant machine with over 100 flavours (yet no free refill) and I just genuinely like the vibe. This movie theatre feels like a movie theatre. I miss AMC but this does the same job almost as well.

Best Summer Showtimes

I don't go here for the service. I go here because they have the best show times in the summer and at all other times of the year the best Friday Showtimes. Any theatre that is committed to 10am showings is ACE in my book...F' Cineplex and their strictly 3pm and later B.S!

AIRMILES CERTIFICATE DECLINED

I was upset that my airmiles certificate issued for AMC , THEN EMPIRE NOW LANDMARK . How does a consumer keep up with the change of hands of this theater. Come on people honour your certificates. I am going after airmiles on this one as LANDMARK will not honor them even though they don't expire until Aug 1 2014. Sad..

Website movie times are not always correct

Attended on New Year's Eve...went early at 4:00 because movie I wanted to see was only playing until 4:00 as per website. Got there and the movie times continued on until after 10:00. When I advised the staff of this error, they were like oh well. Very frustrating, because just came across the same thing again today...all the movie times are not correctly posted. Get it together people!

Downhill spiral

April 24, 2014

Attended on Saturday April 12 for a 9:50 showing of Draft Day. Service at the understaffed ticket kiosk was slow, service at the concession was slow and the theatre was very dirty, especially at the condiment stations which were littered and sticky. Not a very pleasant venue.
