2019 has been a very challenging year for me I’ve decided to spend New Year’s eve at home by myself just relaxing and watching some movies looking forward to 2020 and making it a good year
traditionally my husband and i end up in the U.S. at the nooksack casino. They throw a great party with gifts, favors, appies, a new years eve buffet and they give away by drawing names from attendees ourt of a barrell and you could walk away 1000.00 richer. this happens every 1/2 hour til midnight starting at 6. Its a fantastic way to spend the evening. We leave the casino at 11 and cuddle up at home and watch the ball drop in tmies square on television. We wish each other a happy new yaer in bed and drift off to sleep.

Everyone is always so busy and tired that I likely will be by myself at midnight, as they have 2 very young kids (one of whom, or both, is/are usually sick) and they are exhausted with their busy careers. They are usually in bed by 9 pm every night, with no exceptions.

New Year’s Eve we go out to watch a friend put off fireworks. And come home just after midnight. We then gather round for the lighting of the angel candles. We then make wishes, not for ourselves but others and the world. It has been a family tradition since the early 1970’s. Then it is off to bed!

It’s a fairly early night for us so that we can go to my mom and dad’s for our traditional Japanese New Year’s Day feast! 🎉🥂ðŸ±

I follow the same tradition on New Year’s almost every year. I will be watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest on TV. I will watch the ball drop at midnight and hug my family and send my best wishes to the people I love.

For the past several years, we go to a late afternoon movie, (while the Champagne chills) ... and then home for a cheese plate and Champagne ... watch the ball drop in NY (9:00 p.m. our time) and in bed and snuggling before midnight) ... all of our favourite things to start the year off right!

same as always - we stay home and somewhere near 11 pm my husband falls asleep on the couch. I start to watch all the different channels celebrating the New Year's Eve and finally the clock strikes 12. I kiss my hubby on the head and head to our back deck to ring my mother's cowbell several times. She used to do that when she was alive and now I do it in her memory.
