The second official restricted trailer for Why Him? begins to a cover of "My Girl" as Ned (Bryan Cranston) looks through photos of himself with his daughter Stephanie (Zoey Deutch). He says, "As your little girl grows up, it seems no guy will ever be good enough for her." Next, we see Ned and Stephanie, as well as his wife (Megan Mullally) and son, in a vehicle. The family is driving to meet Stephanie's first serious boyfriend. As they pull into a driveway, billionaire Laird (James Franco) emerges from the home shirtless. He's fit, sports tattoos, and says, "The motherf***ing Flemings are in the house!"
The trailer continues as the profane and unfiltered Laird reveals to Ned that he wants to marry Stephanie and would appreciate his blessing. Over the Christmas holiday, Laird slowly wins over Ned's wife and has support from Ned's son, but Ned himself is a tougher sell. Wild antics, more tattoos and a moose make up the end of the clip.
