Katie Arneson (Kacey Rohl), a young university student, shaves her head. She says she was just diagnosed with skin cancer and is starting chemotherapy within a few weeks. Katie is asking anyone who can for financial help because of the strain chemo can put on her body, in addition to the fact she may not be able to work. This makes her a local celebrity at her school, but the weight of the possible diagnosis may soon prove too much for Katie to handle.
