In the trailer for the first season of the HBO series Westworld, we open on an untamed land in the spirit of the Wild West, but soon a sterile, colder world appears. We see two inhabitants, Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Teddy (James Marsden), discussing the wider world. Dolores is told that is "not real.” Suddenly, we see her being brought back "online” and realize that she and other artificial beings like her are in a world created and controlled by Dr. Robert Ford (Sir Anthony Hopkins) where they were built to gratify any need of their human guest. But we see it might not be a world they want to be a part of any longer.
