In the official trailer for The Zookeeper's Wife, we see a man and woman (Jessica Chastain) open a set of gates. She says, "Good morning. Enjoy yourselves today." Guests are ushered inside and it's clear that the pair operate a zoo. As they let people in, we catch a glimpse of different animals including lions, tigers, monkeys and elephants. But the relatively tranquil tone established is shot down as an alarm rings out and a bomb drops.

The year is 1939 and the country is Poland. Nazis have overrun the nation and Jews are being imprisoned. But there's hope, and the zoo owners decide that they can house refugees. We see the couple hide Jews from the Germans and struggle to keep their noble actions secret.
