In the first official trailer for The BFG, based on the novel by Roald Dahl, Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) hides under the covers. She lives in an orphanage, where the other orphans told her the witching hour arrives at midnight, but she believes it comes at three in the morning. We hear the church clock chime three times as Sophie wraps a quilt around herself and goes to the window to see what's happening after she hears a noise. A giant hand reaches in and snatches her. The giant carries the terrified girl far away to Giant Country. When a group of much larger giants surround him, Sophie hides.
