At a protest, Lucy/104947/">Lucy meets Mercy (Kate Mara), who's protesting for the opposite side. As the daughter of a police officer whose partner was killed by a man about to receive a lethal injection, she believes the death penalty is justice rightly served. However, the two women see through their differences and fall deeply in love.
