Mr. Peabody is an extraordinary dog with a human boy. When the Petersons come over to visit, he tells Sherman to entertain their daughter Penny by sharing his interests or telling her an anecdote, but whatever he does, he cannot tell her about the “Wayback.” Sherman winds up showing Penny the “Wayback,” which is a time machine. Penny forces Sherman to go on a time travelling adventure. When they return, Mr. Peabody finds the two changed ancient history, messing up the present day. All three must go back in time to save the universe.
