After opening for Arcade Fire one night, the band Army of Love is involved in a tragic car accident, killing their lead singer Vaughn Jackson (Levi Dylan). A decade later, Gina (Janel Parish) is still struggling with the loss of her brother. Ten-year-old Oak Scoggins (Tommy Ragen) has just moved into town and demonstrates amazing talent on the guitar, even writing his own music. Gina is impressed by his skills and becomes convinced he is the reincarnation of her brother. Gina gets the band back together and recruits Oak to be their new lead singer.
