A massive hurricane is about to hit Puerto Rico and Dr. Troy (Kate Bosworth) calls the police because her father, Ray, (Mel Gibson) refuses to evacuate. When the cop (Emile Hirsch) shows up to get them to leave, he runs into a gang trying to steal millions from another tenant and must work together with Dr. Troy and Ray to fight them off.
