When the body of a young boy is discovered on the beach in the small coastal town of Broadchurch, the family is understandably devastated. Detective Inspector Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) find there are a number of suspects, but have difficultly narrowing it down, as each suspect has something to hide. Nonetheless, Alec promises they will find the person responsible.
