Fresh off retrieving the demonic doll Annabelle, Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) return home to seal her away with the rest of their collection. When their next case sees the need for them to travel once again, the couple leave their daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace) with a babysitter (Madison Iseman). When the two girls and another friend explore the Warren's collection, they unwittingly awaken the demonic doll and with her all the evil spirits tied to the other artifacts. Trapped in the Warren home, the three girls must now fight off the spirits from taking possession of their bodies.
