In the second trailer for A Quiet Place Part II, we see Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) driving with her kids in the car as people are racing through the streets in a scene that takes place before the events of the first movie. Finally she sees what the cause of panic is: giant creatures are attacking people and vehicles. Fast forward to after the events of the first movie, and Evelyn and her children are making their way home after having picked up supplies, when Evelyn causes glass bottles to drop. They run through an abandoned building in an effort to avoid the creatures, but are stopped by strangers.
