In this first trailer for Angel Has Fallen we find Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is promoted to Director of the Secret Service while accompanying President Allan Trumball (Morgan Freeman) during one of his fishing trips. Shortly after, an assassination attempt is made on Trumball, in which both he and Banning barely make it out alive. However, Banning is accused of orchestrating the attempt, forcing him to go on the run to prove his innocence. Cut off from almost all help, Banning tracks down his father (Nick Nolte) to help him in his mission to find the real culprits behind the assassination attempt.
