In the second trailer for Uncle Drew, it is revealed Dax (LilRel Howery) has lost his best player for the Rucker Classic basketball tournament to another coach, Mookie (Nick Kroll), and needs a new star. His barber suggests he seek out former streetball legend Uncle Drew (Kyrie Irving), who only agrees to play if he can form his own team. He recruits his old teammates who are all old and out of practice. He gives each of the players a memento from their old playing days which appears to help them regain their skills in time to compete in the tournament against Mookie’s team.
