Cami (Heather Graham) tells her daughter Aster (Sophie Nélisse) that her father had a heart attack while taking a bath and drowned. Aster responds that she didn't even know he took baths. As it turns out, he had married the woman (Jodi Balfour) he'd had an affair with and was living with her and their daughter in the home he'd once shared with Cami and Aster. Cami discovers her ex-husband has left his new family destitute and opens her home to them.
