In the trailer for The Invisible Man, an attorney reads a statement from a deceased man named Adrian to his girlfriend, Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss). In the statement, Adrian chides Cecilia for running away from him. In his will, he's left her $5 million, contingent on the fine print, but Cecilia has a hard time believing Adrian, who was a violent sociopath who abused her, is really dead. She begins to believe he faked his death, and is now invisible.
