In the first trailer for Dark Phoenix, a little girl named Jean Grey arrives at Professor Xavier’s (James McAvoy) mansion requesting his help to control her telekinetic powers after she caused her parents' car to crash with her mind. Now an adult, Jean (Sophie Turner) struggles to control her powers as Xavier remarks that she’s changing, though no one is sure into what. The rest of the X-Men fear the rage that Jean no longer has the ability to hold back. At the end of the trailer she says, “They’re right to fear me.”
