Having recently graduated from college, Thomas (Callum Turner) is filled with disdain for New York City, where he grew up with his parents (Pierce Brosnan and Cyntha Nixon) and where he still lives. While on a date with his girlfriend Mimi (Kiersey Clemons), Thomas spots his father at a restaurant, getting cozy with another woman, Johanna (Kate Beckinsale). He decides to follow her and finally speaks to her. When he asks Johanna if she thinks she's going to steal his father away from his mother and tells her she could get any man in the city, she asks, "Could I get you?" He's immediately intrigued and decides to win her away from his father.
