The second trailer for Detroit opens on an African-American security guard being interrogated by police regarding an incident at a motel that saw three kids killed by authorities before he arrived to help. The investigators then begin to insinuate that he is, in fact, responsible for the killings. We then see how in the summer of 1967, the American city of Detroit spiraled into chaos as a racially-charged battle between authorities and citizens ensued. 

Detroit opens in theatres August 4, 2017.
