Diane (Virginie Efira) is a brilliant, beautiful lawyer who's just gone through a divorce from Bruno, who's still a partner in her law firm. When she loses her cell phone, a man by the name of Alexandre (Jean Dujardin) calls her to say he's found it and would like to return it. He's funny and charming and soon convinces Diane to let him take her out to lunch.

When she meets him, she finds Alexandre is handsome and just as charming in person, but she's surprised to find that he's incredibly short - at 4'5" he barely reaches her shoulder. As she finds herself falling in love with him, she struggles to come to grips with their height differences.
