THE UNIVERSE OF KEITH HARING is an intimate portrait of world-renowned artist Keith Haring, whose mantra was that "Art is for everyone." Inspired as a child in cartooning by the art of Dr. Seuss and Walt Disney, he enrolled in art school but soon dropped out to pursue his own career.

He had 100 solo and group exhibitions before passing away at age 31. The film is a thorough and intimate exploration of the background and career of one of the most popular and significant artists of the 20th century. Featuring interviews and archival footage of Fab 5 Freddy, Madonna, Yoko Ono, Andy Warhol, Anne Magnuson and more.

Audio interviews with Keith Haring were conducted by Haring's biographer John Gruen.
