When movies came into being towards the end of the 1800s, it changed people's lives. It gave them a look at different worlds and made their dreams come to life. It changed the things they longed for.

Today, movies are a multi-billion dollar, global, digital, entertainment industry. But is money all they're about? This documentary goes on the road and travels the world to meet people like Stanley Donen, the director of the classic musical Singing in the Rain. And Youssef Chahine, the first great Arab/African director. And in Australia, Oscar-winning screenwriter Jane Campion for her movie The Piano, which she also directed. And Japanese actress Kyoko Kagawa.

They talk about film and what drives the industry—and it isn't money.
