When she was just four years old, Mable Tooke was diagnosed with cancer. While volunteering for The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, director Kelly Wolfert meets Mable's parents, Niel and Lisa Tooke. They tell her more about Mable's story, also asking if she could help take part in creating her wish day, as their daughter has just one wish, to one day fight crime alongside her favorite superhero, Spider-Man. With the help of the city of Edmonton and their loving community, the brave and selfless hero, SpiderMable is able to make her wish day come true, meeting Mayor Don Iveson, completing superhero training at the West Edmonton Mall, and rescuing Oilers' captain Andrew Ference from his kidnapper.
But Mable's journey doesn't end there, as her story received tremendous amounts of support from all over the world on social media in a span of just three days. Inspired to use her newfound voice and influence, Mable continues to give back to the community that helped her survive. We also get to see her evolve as our hero, SpiderMable, as we follow her through the next four years of her life as she continues to inspire and help others while at the same time fighting for her life in her battle against cancer.
