Moonhair

Old Man (the Trickster), convinces the Evil Dung Eaters to steal the Iniskim, or Singing Buffalo Stone, from Moonhair, a feisty girl with magical white hair and no friends. But without the Singing Buffalo Stone to call forth the buffalo, she and her people will perish. She chases after the Evil Dung Eaters.

She is helped by a number of characters from Indian lore--Rock Lady, Whirlwind Girl, Moon Lady--and she of course falls in love with a young man, Easy Runner. Along the way she learns to love and appreciate her own people. It's a great adventure filmed on the stunningly gorgeous Rocky Mountain Front in Montana.
