I, Wombot begins when Associate Professor Michael Heimlich kick-starts Australia's first ever team to compete at the international FIRST® Robotics Competition.

This underdog story follows the high school Australian team, 'Thunder Down Under', as they take on the challenge of designing and building a robot in only six weeks, accompany their robot to New Hampshire, USA, and compete in a high-octane sports tournament against forty-eight other robots.
