Pepe Danquart directs this slick documentary about hockey and the Berlin Wall. The film focuses on a recent winning season of Die Eisbaren (The Polar Bears) one of the last remaining East German hockey teams.

Danquart intercuts interviews with players, supporters and coaches with shots of fervent fans proudly displaying trappings from the former Communist country. This film was screened at the 2000 Berlin Film Festival.
