This film is the story of a regular Australian guy, Joey.Joey is bored, he is bored with life, his job, his friends, everything. Until one day he meets Sofia, an exotic international student newly arrived in Australia. His boyish charms quickly breakdown Sofia's reservations and the two spend the day together.

They find that while they are from different backgrounds, with very different upbringings, they bond over their similar ideas and opinions on the world.As Sofia's trust in Joey grows she shares with him the truth about who she is, where she's from and what she is doing in Australia.

Joey must find a way to help the girl he has just met and both of them have to work out what to do about the first person they have grown close to in a long time and how they will continue with the new dreams they have sparked in each other
