Embittered over the death of his younger sister, Jack Smith turns his back on religion and searches for the truth in science. One day the truth finds him - when a code turns up on his computer screen.

This code turns out to be the missing key to completing Einstein's Unified Field Theory,a theory that will unlock the mysteries of the universe and pave the way for unlimited energy. As Jack searches for the solution to this equation he begins having a series of disturbing nightmares where he is the object of a mysterious manhunt.

These nightmares grow in intensity with every passing night--soon killing those closest to him in real life. When war and pestilence spread through the land, Jack realizes that this equation has opened up a portal to a parallel universe which soon threatens the integrity of all reality.

As the clock ticks towards Armageddon, Jack must decipher the real meaning of the Final Equation before it is too late.
