In our world, we’re immersed in images. Media and new technologies have transformed the practice of photography: how do we make sense of the images that hammer our retinas all day long? Ten photojournalists and artists from different backgrounds, including Lana Slezic, Alfredo Jaar, Stanley Greene, Geert van Kesteren and Bertrand Carrière, question the role of photography as a tool to better understand and comprehend a world torn by tragedy and armed conflict.
