Great movie experience

June 04, 2014

They show great movies that you cannot find at big theaters. Small yet cozy, no line-ups, good cafe shop in the same building =)

Princess Cinemas Waterloo Ont

October 25, 2020

Love the Princess Theatre in Waterloo! Finally went there after many months last night for a great movie. Their handling of the Covid-19 pandemic protocols is all good. Hope to go again soon.

Glad this Indie Theatre is in Town!!

I love to support independent businesses, especially theatres. The challenge is that the price is higher than a typical theatre. However, they always have a great variety of shows playing and the experience is worth it. The only issue I have is that they only accept cash at the concession. They really need to upgrade this to accept debt and credit card. Also, having two seperate tills means you cannot pay for your ticket and food at the same time. The people working the concession also do not seem to know much about the products they sell.

Incomplete Movie

August 01, 2014

Yesterday I drove from Stratford to Waterloo, Ontario to take my 94 year old aunt to watch Jersey Boys. We enjoyed he movie until 3:15 when it stopped and no inside lights came on in the theater. A young lady used her phone to show herself out to the lobby to find out what was going on. She came back to report that no one was in the concession booth or around the theater. She talked to a young lady who was running a cafe out in the front of the building but she couldn't help us except for getting a piece of paper for all of us to sign our name on and add our phone numbers. We came home and about 7:30 p.m. I phoned and talked to the manager. He was NOT accommodating. He said we could come back to-day and see the movie for free or get a complimentary pass. As I don't normally drive to Waterloo I asked that a refund be sent to us at my address. He took my name and address under duress and said he would see what he could do. He asked me to call the owner today but I said I had to go to Toronto today and would not be around when the theater was open. Anyways, we were not happy moviegoers. I watched two people trip up the last stair getting out. No lights came on in the theater. What if there had been a fire or someone fell and broke a hip, etc? We couldn't believe that everyone left the building once the movie started. I await your reply. Rosalie Edwards
