Too many commercials
December 20, 2016
My wife and I went to see a matinee today. We couldn't believe the number of commercials shown prior to the previews and the movie itself. It seemed like we sat through 15 to 20 minutes of commercials. It was terrible. We will think long and hard about going back.
I liked it

Had a pleasant conversation with one of the staff members at concession. Decent popcorn. Good job!

20 minutes to wait for service and extra money at $1.50 a ticket on line and the pick up tickets kiosk does not work, you have to see a cashier after waiting in line fo 10 minutes
Best Movie theater in town!

I swear every other place is crap, well when it comes to the experience. Silvercity is amazing besides the prices. For an example you could buy a bag a skittles for like 5$ at Silvercity, or you could go to the Dollar store and get 2 for that price. But hey besides pricing it's the best in town.

Visited 3:40 viewing of Jason Bourne. Have never watched a movie before in a steam bath. Theatre was hot hot hot and humid. Someone should inform them it is ok to turn on the air conditioning.
Old theater, not clean, smells of urine.

Dirty, sticky seats...covered in food and grease. Theater not cleaned from previous showing. No one took our tickets when we went in. Felt like it was a self serve movie experience with no staff for assistance. Really lacking cleanliness. Won't go back.
Appallingly Poor Experience

- They removed the box office line altogether, so unless you want to pre-pay and print out virtual bar-codes online with a credit card, which not everyone in the world wishes to do.... some of us still use cash, really...! We do! You are now forced to lineup at the concession stand to purchase your movie tickets. Naturally, the concessions are already understaffed, and you wait for an eternity behind families getting their armfuls of junk food to purchase a ticket. TERRIBLE POLICY .... PERIOD. - The carpets in the hallways and in the theatres STINK of urine and other general foul odours. (Just check previous reviews, people have been saying this for 2+ years, so apparently there isn't a care given to rectify this complaint) . - The temperature in the theatres is rarely comfortable. It's hot, muggy, stale and not air conditioned enough in the spring/summer/fall months and not warm enough in the winter.

It is a good theatre to go to.
Did they forget to turn the ac on?

This theatre used to be the best, when it was first built. Yes, it has comfortable seats and very friendly staff but the overall feel and look of the theatre is awful and outdated. Every time I visit this theatre I have a terrible experience with either unsupervised, noisy children (at an adult movie), people constantly on their phones, which I understand is uncontrollable, the awful urine smell coming from the old carpets and no air conditioning, or very light ac, on one of the hottest days of the year. You would expect that spending $12, minimum, to see a regular movie, plus snacks and beverages if you choose to, you would expect a better experience. This theatre needs a huge over haul. With the money they bring in and the location, it should be one of the best looking and feeling theatres.
