Awesome experience...

November 10, 2015

For the last four Thursday matinees at 1:30 p.m. I have really experienced lovely, thought provoking quality movies worth the drive in from Stillwater. Now at age 65, it reminds me so much of my 20's in Vancouver where I grew up, when I attended many wonderful films at our heritage theatres - most gone now regretably. The Patricia Theatre is a gem - keep up the great work...

Cradle to grave Patricia goer

A treasure we are so fortunate to have. Has not changed much from my childhood. Ann is a lovely host. Ann goes above and beyond to bring in the newest releases and fabulous foreign films.

Time for a major renovation!

January 19, 2020

I couldn’t even purchase my ticket with my credit or debit card. Cash only. Who even carries cash anymore? What a major inconvenience. The concession stand was interesting. I’ll give them that. They try to offer a sense of nostalgia to go with the historical aspect by offering candy I haven’t seen since I was a kid. I understand the historic/nostalgia thing for those that want it, but I would’ve preferred a more modern variety of candy & chocolate bars. So why not offer both? Nostalgia & a more modern variety of chocolate bars? I had to use the restroom and it was much to be desired. The wooden bathroom stall doors have a barrel bolt and a hole dug into the wood on the opposite side to hold the stall door closed. I yanked and yanked on the barrel bolt (which is hardware for a gate no less, not a women’s bathroom stall) until finally it came loose. Then it didn’t line up with the hole in the wood and I had to lift the door up to get the bolt in the dug out hole. The sink for washing your hands is so old I didn’t even want to touch it. It just looked dirty that’s how old it was. They didn’t even have a paper towel dispenser. So as you’re getting your paper towel your getting the next person’s towels wet with your hands. Gross! So unsanitary! I was definitely not impressed with the vintage seating. My back was so sore from sitting in those tiny little seats I couldn’t wait to get out of there so I could stand up and stretch my back out. As someone who has major back problems, going to this theatre didn’t do me any favours. Also, my girlfriend and I froze in the theatre that night. I went back to tell them to turn the heat up but there was no one to be found. By the time the movie was over we could barely concentrate on the movie because we were so cold. On cold winter nights, I’d recommend bringing a small blanket with you. They could still offer a modern movie experience in an historical theatre. But that would require spending money wouldn’t it? Not in P
