In this official trailer for The Great Wall, we see a man played by Matt Damon followed by a few facts about the wall flash onto the screen, and the trailer asks what the wall was trying to keep out. There are soldiers that appear ready for combat, but one of them gets grabbed by a monster with long teeth. Matt's character says that he was born into battle, and while he fought for greed, this is the first war he has seen worth fighting for. There are scenic shots of soldiers jumping down from the sky with ropes, Matt shooting an arrow, and explosions. We hear a great roar, and a creature pounds its fiery foot against the ground that Matt is lying down on. He looks up at the monster before the screen cuts to black.
