In the official trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, there's an ominous cloud in the sky over New York City. Chunks of concrete begin to fall, crushing people and cars. April (Megan Fox) says she has a lead on what's happening. When she's surrounded by bad guys at night, a guy with a hockey stick make short work of them. He pulls up his goalie mask and introduces himself as Casey Jones (Stephen Amell).

There's a mysterious purple ooze that can turn humans into animals, and the turtles wonder if it could turn them into humans so they wouldn't have to hide, but not everyone thinks that's a good idea. They gear up and continue their heroic ways as mutant turtles, jumping from planes, riding down rivers, leaping from buildings and taking down the bad guys.
