In the moving premiere trailer for the drama Collateral Beauty, a man named Howard Inlet (Will Smith) delicately stacks dominos while he reflects on the three things that connect all human beings — love, time and death. As the dominos topple over one by one, we see Whit’s (Edward Norton) longing for love, Claire’s (Kate Winslet) wish for more time, and Simon’s (Michael Peña) fear of death. Howard, on the other hand, has retreated from all three, after recently losing his young daughter. Rather than actually living, he writes letters as a way to cope with his immense grief. Little does he know that death (Helen Mirren), time (Jacob Latimore), and love (Keira Knightley) refuse to let him give up on them just yet.
