AWSOME THE BEST MOVIE IN HISTORY

User review rating: 0 January 15, 2005

I hated it!

User review rating: 0 January 15, 2005

I thought that it was a disgrace, and all of the people that read the books are probably with me. . .it wasn`t even in order! In the movie it went half of one (and didn`t even use the same ending) then half of two (again didn`t use the same ending) half of three (and again didn`t use the same ending) and then they used the other half of one (BUT AGGAIN DIDN`T EVEN DO IT FOLLOWING THE BOOK!)! I give this movie a 2.

there isnt anything money could by better than a cin,a ticket to see this

User review rating: 0 January 14, 2005

This movie was great but I wouldn`t bring my child to see it. It defiantly isn`t a movie about a happy little elf, and in some ways it is very depressing. If you read the books you know this, but if your just seeing it for the first time this is no movie about a happy little elf. If thats what you want go watch something else. The actors did a great job. I haven`t seen childern act to well in a long time.

User review rating: 0 January 13, 2005

this is the best movie i have seen in years

User review rating: 0 January 13, 2005

The film looks great but it still a complete bore. Easily the WORST picture I have seen this last year.

User review rating: 0 January 12, 2005

I loved it so much, especially because Liam Aiken was so good at acting, it just made it better!

User review rating: 0 January 10, 2005

Very cool, seems like it is in the book order and relatively right (though a re-reading says it is wrong)Could use a little more of the actual books though!! Count Olaf is too appealing, however, needs to be more sinister. Other wise, Violet is beautiful, Klaus is hot and Sunny is totally adorable. I saw it twice.

This movie was super neato!

User review rating: 0 January 09, 2005

Fabulous for kids and adults. Both my son and I have read the books, and this is a rare case where the movie is as good as the books!! Must see for everyone.

User review rating: 0 January 08, 2005

Very bad!

User review rating: 0 January 08, 2005

I liked the movie alot! It was very good.. I thought Count Olaf was very good! The kids that were pick were the best ones to do! Noone could have done it better than them!!

wicked

User review rating: 0 January 08, 2005

I loved A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS!!!!!!!! Klaus was really cute(I looked at him and almost screamed),Sunny was TOOOOOOOO adorable, Voilet was pretty pretty, but Jim Carrey absolutely blew me out of my mind!!!!This movie is the best movie EVER!!! Please make another one!!! I can`t wait for it to come out on dvd.

User review rating: 0 January 08, 2005

This movie was a HUGE disappointment. Nothing happened in the correct order. Too much was removed or added. Having three books in one movie was rediculous. Klaus doesn`t even wear glasses! For a book that is supposed to promote reading, there was nothing in the film to tell kids to read. As for Count Olaf, although Jim Carry was very funny, he was not nearly disgusting enough. My family and I are faithful readers. If you loved the book ... you will hate the movie. Don`t ruin it for yourself!

User review rating: 0 January 08, 2005

this movie was fantastic (the books will always be better) but the movie came really close, not that many changes were made a must see movie!

User review rating: 0 January 07, 2005

Very good movie!! They switched the books around, though.Other than that, go see it!!!!

User review rating: 0 January 07, 2005

I did not think it was a children`s show. Should not be promoted as a family movie. Waste of money and a depressing waste of time for my 7 year old.

User review rating: 0 January 07, 2005

i thought the movie was great!!! all the actors and actresses were really good!i excepically LOVED LIAM AIKEN! cant wait for the next movie and liam if u r reading this happy 15 bday!! keep acting!

User review rating: 0 January 07, 2005

I read the books and I loved them so I was thrilled to see the movie

User review rating: 0 January 06, 2005

I saw this movie after reading the play with my 10 year old daughter and we both loved it. The special effects were pretty cool and the movie kept you guessing on what would happen next to the children. It was also very comical throughout the movie with the youngest of the children. I would highly recommend it for a family outing. Hopefully they will come out with the 2nd chapter soon.

I think that Liam Aiken was my favorite part of the movie!

User review rating: 0 January 05, 2005

I think that Lemony Snicket`s A Series of Unfortunate Events was the best movie that I have ever seen. I don`t think that it had really any mistakes in it that I did not like. I have probally seen it 10 times now.

User review rating: 0 January 05, 2005

It was OK. Good special effects, good acting.. but story-like was meager really.. Not very exciting, nothing really happened. More eye-candy than ear-candy.

User review rating: 0 January 04, 2005

It was a really good movie, but it moved way way way too fast from book to book, and they could have had a little more of what ACTUALLY happened in the books. It was more funny than any thing else.I believe they could`ve drawn it out more and included more climaxes and frighteningly exilerating moments that were in the books. And Lemony Snicket needs to put a lid on it once in a while,he was jabbering more than the characters.I,for one,was 85% disappointed.Because it didn`t show the awsomeness of these three books. But to all those who seen the movie, love the movie, and have not read these books Here is my message to you...............If you thin

User review rating: 0 January 04, 2005

Great.....but left a lot out from the books...otherwise, it was good...AND SUNNY WAS SO CUTE.

User review rating: 0 January 04, 2005

I loved everything about Lemony Snicket`s, from the awesome special effects, storyline and characters to Jude Law`s sexy narration. Oh...yes, my kids love it too!

User review rating: 0 January 04, 2005

this movie could have been good... but they left waaaaaaaaay too much from the books out.

User review rating: 0 January 03, 2005

I like Sunny..she is so cute!!

User review rating: 0 January 03, 2005

This was one of the best movies I`ve ever seen! Not only was it very funny, it was rather poignant at times, which gives this dark, and often scary movie a whole new light. I enjoyed every minute of it.

User review rating: 0 January 03, 2005

ITS GREAT BUT ALSO FUNNY BUT ASLO SAD

User review rating: 0 January 03, 2005

I thought it was a really good movie. Not Jim Carey`s best ever but it was still a fun movie to watch.

User review rating: 0 January 03, 2005

for a Jim Carrey movie it wasnt very funny,it was slow moving, boring and at the end of it i was left wondering where all the funny parts were. I was disappointed and do not recommend this movie. It did have great set designs and costumes though but that was about it.

User review rating: 0 January 02, 2005

It has to be one of the best movies I`ve seen in a long, long time. I even thought Count Olaf (or Jim) was some what attractive.

User review rating: 0 January 02, 2005

Carrey up to his usual antics, a strange movie with heavy Tim Buton overtones. Delightfully entertaining. Penny and David give this flick two thumbs up.

User review rating: 0 January 02, 2005

I think this movie is the next Harry Potter. I love the whole mystical movie thing. This movie even has snippets of funny things in it. Jim carrey is great. I give it 5

User review rating: 0 January 02, 2005

i enjoyed this movie! it stayed fairly true to the books (which *ROCK*!) and overall i liked it. the kids did a great job! my fav part was uncle monty`s assistant on the train :p good job 4 stars

User review rating: 0 January 02, 2005

i did not really like this movie i think that it surprised me with how different the movie and the books were jim carry did an excelent job but it just was not that great

User review rating: 0 January 02, 2005

Interesting film with great sets & wonderful acting. Jude Law makes a mysterious & glamorous narrator.

User review rating: 0 January 02, 2005

Twisted & strange, but ultimately very enjoyable. The sets were incredible. Jim Carrey was very big & bombastic but it actually worked here. The kids (Liam Aiken & stunning newcomer Emily Browning) were wonderful. The baby was a hoot. Also features excellent support from Billy Connolly & goddess Meryl Streep. Much too dark & intense for very small children, though.

User review rating: 0 January 01, 2005

I thought that this movie was good! There were some parts that I did not like to much. Kind of sad, but I liked how it ended up. The acting of the Children was wonderful and Jim Carry played a good part. Good job to all the acters and Actresses! I liked this movie a lot and I think You will too!

User review rating: 0 January 01, 2005

it was pretty good, but like usual, the book is waaay better.

User review rating: 0 January 01, 2005

I certainly couln`t have guessed the outcome. When will the sequel be released? I mean what happened to Olaf the creep, the significance of the spy glasses, the eye windows, the burnt down houses. What is the common denominator?

User review rating: 0 January 01, 2005

I loved the movie because it had a lot of close-ups of my boy Liam Aiken!!!!!!!!!!!!! Liam if you read this, I think that you`re extremely hot and my `lil sis says she loves your sweet stare!!!!!!! Love you boy!!!!!!! Keep acting!!!
