Siberian huskies are the most incredible breed of dogs. I`m getting a siberian husky in a few months so I couldn`t help but get emotional during this movie. It`s a great movie for the whole family to enjoy.

Our family hardly ever goes to the movies together (different tastes) but when 8 below came out my husband suggested our daughter (16) myself and he go and see this movie. He was impressed my the idea for the north and sled dogs. So off we went. We had the best time (our daughter even cryed which also ever happens, its always mom)the show kept us interested until the last moment, the dogs where fantastic,as well the actors. WE REALLY LOVED IT.

EXCELLENT SHOW FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

User review rating: 0 June 10, 2006

The movie was made more amazing because it was based on a true story, and Paul Walker did a great job allowing the dogs, the true stars of the movie, to shine (I bet that was something he hadn`t thought he would be doing when he became an actor!) Great family flick!

User review rating: 0 June 10, 2006

Being an animal lover I was moved to tears throughout the movie. Paul Walker is superb in any movie he is in also. He brings believability to each role. I look forward to seeing it again.

I enjoyed this movie with my preteen daughter, but I found it a bit formulaic and predictable. She loved it, though. It was good, wholesome entertainment. As we live near Smithers, B.C. (where much of the filming took place) it was fun to pick out familiar landscapes!

User review rating: 0 June 09, 2006

Excellent movie! We really enjoyed the movie and will buy it when it comes out on DVD!

An Icon of a family movie

The cold bleakness of the movie landscape was warmed by the emotions you felt for the dogs. A great movie.
