Good attention to detail (like everyone sweating buckets even when standing still). Lots of action, at times too much as you are left feeling tired from all the adrenaline pumping. Good movie, though, telling a story that teaches hard earned lessons.

Black hawk down is a well done movie. They portrayed the environment of the war very good and it has a coherant summarization of the horrid event. One thing that`s best distinguish this war movie to the others is that there are not love scene involved in the film. I think love characters generally contradicts the purpose of making a war movie that supposedly describes the altruism behaviours of out heroes whom sacrifices themselves to protect their nations.

It`s an amazing movie with great summarization ofthe event. And the actions are as thrilling as saving private ryan. I would9recommend it to everyone. It is the best of the year!!!

It was such an awesome movie, much better than that crappy remake of "Pearl Harbour"(too much Josh Hartnet in both, I can`t see what anybody else see`s in him...he`s so darn ugly)

I really liked Black Hawk Down because there was no love story it was just about the war. I also liked it because there was alot of fighting and blood and guts. The only reason i saw it was because Josh Hartnett was in it that was the best part.

Overall it was quite good. Would have liked a little more character development. Quite intense in many parts. Scary to think what our world is becoming!

Amazing movie. I went with my grandpa and we both really enjoyed. It wasm uch more accurate than that disgrace of a movie Pearl Harbour. I would encourage everybody over the age of fifteen to go see it. Very realistic with the fatigue and night factors. Awesome! 5 stars!

This movie was by FAR much better than Pearl Harbour. IT was intensely realistic and very interesting. For those of you who complain that it is too gory, then watch Pearl Harbour. War is not glorious. It is bloody, limbs get blown off and people die. They don`t die with a neat little holes in their bodies. Thats reality and if you don`t like it, i`d like to recomend Snow Dogs to you.

This film was not written or produced by SOMALIANS. Hollywood studios are AMERICAN. Theatres in north AMERICA are AMERICAN owned [for the most part] So why do you find it hard to believe BlackHawkDown doesn`t analyze the SOMALIAN point of view??? -- TOIKEOIKE

Almost a typical "war" movie, however you kind of wondered what the whole operation was about. Once the Helecopter went down the story of the movie shifted which was not interesting at all. If you are asking why did I see it then, because the whole idea of war is a common theme these days. Definitely a rental, but I would not buy this movie. 4.5 stars an average? Not in these books.

I thought it was the best movie ever.it was as good as Pearl Harbour and i cried in that movie every time i see the ending where josh hartnett (the hottie) died. this movie was all out blood guts and gore and i like these kinds of movies.I gave it a ten out of ten. p.s. Josh Hartnett is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo incredibly hot!!!!!

Black Hawk Down was very well done, giving a realistic perspective of what it would be like for a US soldier to be in that situation. But it fails because of what was missing. The movie was portrayed entirely from the US perspective, and not at all from the Somali perspective. The only Somalis who had a chance to speak were a) the arms dealer, who was a stereotyped bad guy, and b) the officer who interrogated the captured American, and whose viewpoint was that war is the Somali way of life. Call that a Somali perspective? I certainly don`t. How about the thousand Somalis who ran into American bullets, like lemmings going off a cliff. T

This was a great film. but i wasent sure about the guns. Thay just did not look very real to me. im sorry i just was not going to buy into this whole war thing. not with guns like that. i expected better from the makers of the film.

Listen: don`t expect Hollywood to tell the truth about a particular battle. To tell us EXACTLY what happened. To tell us EXACTLY the events, THE POLITICAL events, that led up to the battle. To tell us EXACTLY what US politicians, solidiers and intelligence officers actually did their or prior to and during any war. That`s not hollywood`s job. Hollywood is there to entertain me and you. Shows the best and worst of humanity. The depiction of the posthumous Medal of Honor recipients, who gave their lives to protect a colleague, should make everyone who is ambivalent toward those in the military think twice. For those complaining about it being plotless and difficult to follow, welcome to war. No plan survives contact with the enemy.

I thought it was a GREAT movie ! Makes you think about how much we should appreciate the army, navy etc etc ..... we just have no idea how brave, courageous and unselfish these men and women really are ! I had tears in my eyes throughout the movie as this was based on an actual event and it`s funny how we take advantage of the simplier things in life ...........and we have these people ......who are essetially giving us the rights to live our lives ............THANK YOU !!

Hey i was watching that show "Counter-Spin" and 2/4 people were against it. They said it was 100% propaganda, when in fact it was FACTUAL! Not only did the writer of the book do research beyond bleif but the actors met their characters. kinda funy if you think of it, on e guy on the show said "You see what this silly american director does? he makes propaganda film to glorify the govt." THE DIRECTOR IS ENGLISH! Get YOUR priorities straight, you know? well thats my 2 cents!
