  Loved the book, loved the scenery in the movie and loved the actors......but not in this movie. For some reason all I could think about was that they were acting. They didn't seem believable and the rush to bring them from strangers to lovers lost the intensity demonstrated in the book. I was disappointed.

  Too slow moving. NO real chemistry happening and then they were in love and he was gone. Not realistic, needed to move faster in the beginning and slower during their courtship, not bad but not good. Although it certainly seemed to be a tear jerker, just needed to look around or listen. Love Gere and Lane but not their best.

  a fine movie good for couples the love between them is quite believable woth seeing actually.

  I loved this movie and had no idea when I saw it on opening day that I should have brought a box of kleenex. Highly recommend!

  It's a true love story. It is worth seeing. If you have ever read any of his books or seen any of his movies then you will know what i'm talking about. It's a must see!

  This is the most beautiful love story. I really enjoyed it. A must see movie.

  I HATED this movie. It was so flat. The characters were flat, the sets were flat, geez - even the hurricaine was flat. Dialogue was stilted and the development of the relationship was boring.
