The official trailer for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul opens as a voice says, "There are caped crusaders, galactic guardians, and amazing web slingers. But for over a decade, only one hero dared to be...wimpy."

As the trailer continues, we're introduced to Greg (Jason Drucker), the wimpy kid. He is taken on a road trip to Indianapolis with his family and decides to make a detour with his brother Rodrick (Charlie Wright) to attend a Comic-Con type event. They hijack the family vehicle and naturally, chaos ensues. His parents (Alicia Silverstone and Tom Everett Scott) are far from pleased.

Greg finds himself in plenty of precarious situations and the trailer ends by featuring him and his family singing along to Spice Girls' classic pop song "Wannabe."
